One of the projects on which they have worked a lot in recent years is the design of a methodology for evaluating the situation of the social health system. The diagnoses they carry out are used to produce structural, organisational, etc. improvements in the entities under investigation. They have applied it to 70% of the municipalities in the province.

The design of the research is agreed with the agents involved in the centre/entity in which they carry out the diagnosis: „We have to negotiate with them the whole procedure from the beginning: from the review of the surveys, to the timing, who is going to participate, when and how, to the working groups. All of that has to be negotiated and agreed. Focus groups are used with the working group, and specific meetings and interviews with the actors. In the design of the research, a small group of people from the organisation participate as group leaders or coordinators; in the course of the research, many more people participate.

From an Action Research perspective, it is important that stakeholders are present from the beginning of the diagnosis of the problem in order to understand the process and to bring about real change.
